The text below about the "burying grounds" is from the Proceedings at the Centennial Celebration of the Incorporation of the Town of Longmeadow, October 17, 1883 which was written by R.S. Storrs. This pdf document includes a 97 page "genealogical appendix" for the Town of Longmeadow that is very interesting.

As part of the America's 1776 BiCentennial celebration, the Longmeadow Cemetery Association published a booklet entitled The Olde Burying Yard in which there was a collection of the inscriptions on the gravestones of the early settlers of the Town of Longmeadow.  The two lists- one by family name and the other by gravestone location can be reviewed by clicking on the links below:
